Could eternity be-
alive when the heart dances
into the beat of its own sound;
embracing freedom- like an
emblem of undying assonance?

Could it be measured through
the spaces of breaths and hidden sighs
owned by the souls left with nothing-
but to wait for the sun
to set and then, to rise?

Could eternity be-
born from a seed of thought
scattered by the morning winds and
nurtured by the dawn of reason-
until the moment of efflorescence?

Could eternity be-
revealed when springtime paints
the world with lush and lively colours-
until it goes and commences
to blend with the new season?

Could it be lived through moments
that comes and goes as time
goes on, and the world keeps on-
adorned with traces of
laughter and tears that grace
each births and breath?

Eternity -it could be real or falsity;
A life beneath the grave of sorrow
A torch of illusion, a bearer of hope
An anchor or a sail -hope of the unknown.

  2. Hello dear Leofina, I’ve always looked on these experiences as not quite eternity, but as renewal, fresh imputus, a new pulse, in time still yet like a taste of eternity, a whetting of the appetite in the way that an aroma is not the thing itself but we say it is, we say “ah that is rose” when the scent reaches us.
